Entry of animals into non-EU countries
Things to consider when transporting pets to England:
In the Brexit aftermath, England is no longer part of the EU, so similar regulations apply to entry and exit as to third countries. But don't worry: If you want to travel from an EU country to a non-EU country with your pet, we won't leave you alone in the legal jungle. Specializing in pet transports to all countries of the European Union and third countries, we keep track of the applicable regulations for all transports.
Within the EU, entry with pets is generally not a problem. But even outside the European Union it is very feasible, with a few specifications to be taken into account.
In general, the following applies to dog transport: the animals must be at least six months old and a maximum of 5 dogs may be transported (exception: participation in competitions, exhibitions or sporting events with a written declaration). For more detailed information, please visit the official website of the Government of England.
When traveling from the EU to non-EU countries, you should consider these points for accompanying pets such as dogs, cats, ferrets and other animals (in this order):
> The EU pet passport issued in the EU is recognized and must be carried along when transporting the animal.
> The animal must be microchipped.
> The animal must be vaccinated against rabies (primary vaccination must have been received 21 days prior to the importation, booster vaccinations are valid as long as the prescribed interval has been observed).
> Dogs must have had a tapeworm treatment 24 hours before departure or a maximum of 5 days before entry.
> All prescribed steps must be documented in the EU pet passport for international animal transport.
> When leaving/returning to the EU, you only need your pet's pet ID card to transport your pet.
